DERA ISMAIL KHAN: The Tank police claimed to have identified and registered cases against as many as 20 candidates and their impersonators, who had appeared for them in the recently held tests for recruitments in the police department.
As police spokesman said that all the genuine candidates and the fake ones belonged to Tank, adding that further legal action had been initiated against them.
He claimed that unearthing of the fraud reflected the district police officer Aslam Nawaz Khan’s earnest efforts for implementation of a policy that had zero-tolerance against corruption, and aimed at ensuring transparency and merit in the police recruitment process.
The spokesman added that malpractices were detected after DPO Aslam Nawaz conducted a thorough investigation, utilising professional verification and scientific tools to expose fraudulent individuals.
DPO Aslam Nawaz, in a statement, said that “a strong social system can be built on the foundations of transparency and justice, and the growing public trust in the police was the greatest proof of our success.”
He further stated that action against fraud would continue to make the police department more robust and trustworthy institution.
