TAXILA: The Attockdistrict education authority on Saturday suspended three school teachers among them two females over their alleged “political” activities including ‘anti-govt propaganda’ on social media as well as “engaging in politics, arguing with one another” over political issues in two different incidents.

The suspended teacher has been instructed to report to the relevant office for inquiry without delay.

In the first case, a female senior science teacher (SST-IT) and a senior science teacher (SST) also serving as acting headmistress at Government Girls high School Waisa in tehsil Hazro were suspended by chief executive district education authority.

The suspension order states: “Engaging in politics, arguing with one another and disrupting the teaching and learning process in the school, both the female teachers are facing charges of misconduct and insubordination. Both are directed to report to deputy district officer (elementary education) Attock for further probe.”

Separately, an elementary science teacher (SST) of Government Boys School Dakhniar tehsil Jand was suspended on the charges of “passing derogatory remarks on social media beyond his mandate”. The suspension order states, “in view of the gravity of the act on part of the incumbent, he stands relieved from his duties forthwith with the direction to report to the deputy district education officer (male) until further orders.”
