Woman burnt by stepbrothers dies

SAHIWAL: A woman who was set ablaze along with her daughter by her stepbrothers over a dispute regarding the construction a wall in house courtyard died after 10 days in the Sahiwal Teaching Hospital on Saturday night.

The incident occurred in village 88/6-R on Dec 12. It was reported both mother and daughter sustained severe burn injuries and were shifted to STC in critical condition.

At that time, Farid Town Police registered a case under PPC 336, 427, 324, and the Anti-Terrorism Act (ATA) against Shahid Kamboh, Rashid Kamboh and Aslam Kamboh on the complaint of her brother Muhammad Aslam. Farid Town police sources added now they had added Section 302 in the FIR.
