KASUR: Phoolnagar police on Sunday lodged a case against three unidentified robbers who gang-rapped a woman, mother of two, during a robbery at village Khankay, four days after the incident.
The police registered a first information report (FIR) against the robbers/rapists under section 376 of the Pakistan Penal Code (PPC) and other relevant sections, claiming to have arrested two of the suspects.
According to the FIR, lodged on the complaint of ‘N’, a mother of two, on Thursday night three unidentified robbers entered her house by scaling the boundary wall, when her husband, a watchman, had gone to perform his duty.
She said as she woke up late night to go to toilet, the robbers held her at gunpoint.
The complainant said all the three robbers raped her at gunpoint and escaped, hurling threats of serious consequences if she reported the matter to police.
‘N’ said that when her husband returned home, she informed her about the incident and decided to report the matter to police.
However, sources said, the police delayed registration of the case as they awaited medical report of the victim to confirm she was raped.
