Grenade attack on shop in Quetta

QUETTA: Two persons were injured in a hand grenade attack on a barber shop in the Sariab road area, late on Monday evening.

Police said that armed men riding motorcycles hurled a hand grenade at the shop and sped away. Two men including the shop owner suffered injuries when the grenade exploded inside the shop, the officials said.

Soon after the incident, police rushed to the site and shifted the injured to hospital where the condition of one of them was described as serious. Police were investigating the incident.

Meanwhile, a man was gunned down near Mashkay area of Awaran district, on Monday.

Levies officials said armed men fired at Abdul Shakoor, killing him on the spot. The personnel shifted the body to a hospital, and after necessary formalities, it was handed over to the family.

Security officials believed personal enmity as motive for the killing.
