BAHAWALPUR: Two youths died while a third was injured in a celebrity firing at a wedding at Chak 14/MR near Thatha Sadiqabad in the limits of Makhdoom Rashid police station of Multan.

According to police, the wedding of Fahad Khan Baloch was in progress when two youths, Sajjad and Waqas, along with their unidentified companion allegedly opened celebrity fire. Due to the firing, Muhammad Faizan died on the spot and another Shehbaz succumbed to his bullet wounds on the way to Nishtar Hospital.

The third youth, Muhammad Aamir, suffered critical injuries as he was hit in the eyes. He was shifted to Nishtar hospital, Multan.

On the receipt of information, Makhdoom Rashid police rushed to the scene for action and sent the bodies as well as the injured to hospital for a post-mortem.

On the complaint of Shehbaz’s brother Muhammad Abbas, Makhdoom Rashid police registered a murder case against the suspects.

ARRESTED: Saddar police of Multan claimed to have arrested a man who allegedly shot dead his son on the wedding day of his daughter the other day.

According to police, Qamar was issueless and his father, Zafar Iqbal, was forcing him to divorce his wife, Shireen Zahra, and remarry but Qamar was not willing to do it. At this, Zafar would often quarrel with his daughter-in-law and his son shifted her to her mother’s residence.

At the wedding of his sister Kalsoom, Qamar brought back his wife Zahra.

At this, Zafar had an altercation with his daughter-in-law and in a fit of rage opened fire, which claimed the life of his son, Qamar, and inflicted injuries on Zahra. Zafar fled from the scene.

Qamar’s body and injured Zahra were shifted to hospital.

SHOT DEAD: A 23-year-old girl was found shot dead on the roof of her house in Bihari Colony of Satellite Town, in the limits of Baghdadul Jadid Police Station of Bahawalpur.

According to rescuers, when they reached the crime scene, they found the girl, Safoora Begum, killed on the roof with a pistol in her hand.

Baghdadul Jadid police reached there with forensic teams and launched an investigation. The police officials said after the investigation, legal action would be taken to determine whether it was a suicide or murder case.

The body was shifted to the morgue of the Bahawal Victoria Hospital (BVH) for a post-mortem.

BOOKED: Saddar police of Dunyapur in Lodhran district registered a case against a man and his son for allegedly uploading the videos of two daughters of another man on social media and injuring them in an attack in Chak 368/WB, Misri Kote.

According to police, Mukhtar complained that Ikram and his son Shan had uploaded the videos of his daughters on social media. They, along with other family members, including Reshman and Zarina, attacked his two daughters, Shamshad Bibi and Gulnaz Bibi, with axes and clubs while they were washing clothes on the canal bank.

Dunyapur police registered a case on Mukhtiar’s complaint.
