Rivals kill two brothers in Charsadda

CHARSADDA: Two young brothers were killed when their rivals opened fire on them in Amukhel area in the limits of Prang police station here on Tuesday.

Mohammad Ayub, a resident of Amukhel area, filed a report with the Prang police, saying that he along with his sons, Umar and Shah Fahad, was at the hujra (guesthouse) of their relative, Irfan when the accused Iftikhar, Arshad, Zubair, Junaid and Falak Niaz of the same locality came there and opened indiscriminate fire. “As a result of the firing, my two young sons died on the spot, while I narrowly escaped,” the complainant said.

He said that the accused had developed an enmity with his son, Irfan.

The police registered a report of double murder against the accused on the complaint of Ayub, and started making raids to arrest the accused.

The bodies were shifted to the District Headquarters Hospital, Charsadda.
