KARACHI: A young labourer was shot at and wounded by robbers when he resisted them off Superhighway on Friday morning, police said.
Site Superhighway Industrial Area SHO Khalid Abbasi said that 24-year-old Mehtab, a labourer, left his house in Janjal Goth for work at New Subzi Mandi, but two armed robbers attempted to loot him on the way. And as he put up resistance, the muggers opened fire on him and fled without any loot.
Mehtab suffered a bullet wound on his shoulder. He was taken to the Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre where his condition was stated to be out of danger.
