Benazir Kisan Card scheme launched in Balochistan

QUETTA: The Balochistan government has launched the ‘Benazir Kisan Card’ scheme to support small farmers and approved funds for its initial phase to provide financial subsidies to small farmers.

Chief Minister Sarfraz Bugti has approved the summary to provide financial support to small farmers.

Under the scheme, the government would provide subsidies to small farmers to procure fertilisers, seeds and agricultural equipment.

A Balochistan government spokesperson said in the first phase of the Kissan Card scheme, subsidies will be provided by the Balochistan government using its funds, while in the second phase, the federal government’s help will be sought.
