ISLAMABAD: A delegation of prominent business leaders of twin cities of Islamabad and Rawalpindi on Saturday visited the Azerbaijan embassy to condole the death of passengers in a plane crash.

President traders union Sardar Ilyas Khan led the delegation including esteemed business figures such as Shafiq Akbar, Amir Hussain, Umais Khattak and Umer Hussain. Together, they expressed their solidarity with the Azerbaijani people during this time of grief.

Sardar Yasir Ilyas Khan, CEO Centaurus group, said that this tragic loss of lives deeply saddens us and we share the grief of our Azerbaijani brothers and sisters. Pakistan has always had a strong bond with Azerbaijan and “we extend our prayers for those affected by this disaster”.

The delegation offered their condolences to the Azerbaijani Ambassador, observed a moment of silence to honour the victims and conveyed their deepest sympathies on behalf of Pakistan’s business community.

The Azerbaijani embassy appreciated the gesture and acknowledged the deep friendship and mutual support shared between Pakistan and Azerbaijan.

The ambassador expressed gratitude for the delegation’s visit, stating that it underscores the enduring bond between the two nations.
