BAHAWALPUR: The Dunyapur city police in Lodhran district claimed to have arrested an alleged rapist and booked his parents on charges of concealing the offence and abortion of the 13-year-old girl at Chah Mulklanwala.

According to police spokesman, about five months ago, the girl used to go to her neighbour’s house to recite the Holy Quran. On the day of occurrence, when the girl went for lesson, the female teacher’s son in her absence raped the girl.

Later, the suspect’s parents threatened to kill the girl if she told about the incident to any one. After some time, the girl became pregnant and the suspect’s father and mother managed her abortion from an unidentified lady doctor, after which she fell ill. This caused concern to the girl’s father and she told her parents about the incident.

On the complaint of the girl’s father, police have registered a first information report under section 376 and 338 of Pakistan Penal Code, nominating the suspect, his father and mother and arrested the rapist.

ARRESTED: The Saddar police in Kahror Pakka claimed to have arrested a man named Ramzan for allegedly unleashing a dog on Ghulam Farid in Basti Taliwala, located at Burhanpur.

An FIR was registered under section 289 of the PPC based on a complaint filed by Falak Shair, the brother of the victim. According to the complainant, Ghulam Farid had gone to Ramzan to demand the return of his money. However, Ramzan refused to repay and unleashed his dog on Farid.

The dog attacked and severely injured Ghulam Farid, causing deep wounds on his arms and right leg. Hearing his screams, nearby residents rushed to the scene, rescued him, and took him to a local clinic for medical treatment.
