SARGODHA:Eight people were injured when six vehicles collided with each other in a pile-up at the bridge over river Jhelum on Sargodha-Khushab road in the morning.

The incident happened due to dense fog on the road as the drivers could not see ahead of them.

Four of the injured are reported to be in serious condition. All of them were shifted to the District Headquarters Hospital.

OPERATION:

As a part of the encroachment-free Punjab, the district administration has launched a grand operation on Sial Mor.

A team, under the supervision of Kot Momin Assistant Commissioner Mehtab Khan and Chief Officer District Council Asad Hariya, took action against the encroachment mafia at Sial Mor and demolished temporary and permanent structures on both sides of the Lahore Road. Traders on the road had erected encroachments in front of their shops, which was disrupting the flow of traffic.

Deputy Commissioner retired Captain Muhammad Waseem said indiscriminate operation against the encroachment mafia would continue in full swing across the district.
