TAXILA: A court in Hassanabdal on Monday sentenced three persons to death for shooting to death two brothers over a marriage feud in Hassanabdal police area on March 23,2023. The judge also imposed a fine over convicts as damages.
According to the FIR registered under section 302 and 341 of Pakistan Penal Code (PPC) at Hassanabdal police station, Farhad Ali reported to the police that his nephews Mohammad Arif and Mohammad Ismail belonging to Charsadda ran a dairy shop in Hassanabdal.
He said that one of the brothers had contracted love marriage against the will of his in-laws and a jirga was organised to settle the issue. As the victim did not agree on the terms and conditions they were shot dead on Ahmed Din Khan Road allegedly by Mansoor Jan, Syed Nabi and Adnan Khan.
Later, police arrested all the three accused and recovered the weapons utilised in the murder. The prosecution produced substantial evidence against the accused which established involvement of three persons in the murder of the two brothers.
