LAHORE: The Lahore Development Authority (LDA) conducted computerised balloting for residential plots located in Tajpura, Jubilee Town and Johar Town.

The ballot was held at the Expo Center with the collaboration of the Punjab Information Technology Board (PITB).

The event was headed by Minister for Housing Bilal Yasin, LDA Vice Chairman Mian Marghoob Ahmed, Parliamentary Secretary Barrister Sultan Bajwa and LDA DG Tahir Farooq.

Speaking on the occasion, Bilal Yasin said the balloting process had been conducted transparently with PITB’s collaboration. The plots included in the balloting were of five and seven marlas. He said the coming year would see another gift from Maryam Nawaz under the “Apni Chhat Apna Ghar” programme, offering citizens affordable and high-quality housing schemes.

LDA Vice Chairman Mian Marghoob Ahmed said the authority had offered 88 plots in Johar Town, Jubilee Town and Tajpura on a three-year easy installment plan. Parliamentary Secretary Barrister Sultan Bajwa mentioned that a total of 1,201 successful applicants participated in the balloting.

LDA DG Tahir Farooq explained that PITB had ensured a fully transparent balloting process using `pseudocode’ technique. Successful applicants will make payments in 12 equal installments over three years.
