Price list display ordered

KARACHI: Commissioner Syed Hassan Naqvi on Monday reviewed measures to control the prices of essential food commodities, addressing public complaints and ensure the availability of essential food items at official prices.

According to a press release, the meeting decided to ensure that official price lists are prominently displayed and essential items are available at government rates.

Assistant Commissioner Rabia Syed presented a weekly report on actions taken against profiteering and informed the commissioner that prices were checked at 1,652 locations and shops across all districts and fines of Rs2.353 million was imposed on profiteers.
