DISAPPOINTED CANDIDATES: In November 2021, the Sindh government had announced a significant number of grade 5-15 job openings. These positions were divided into three categories based on academic qualifications: graduation, intermediate and matriculation. The relevant testing service conducted the qualification test for the first two cate-gories, but the matriculation category remained unattended. After the test results were announced, the application process began, but it soon came to a complete halt, and the matter landed in the courts. The delays have caused frustration and disappointment among the candidates. The government must accelerate and complete the recruitment process.

BURNING WASTE: The burning of waste at landfill sites not only deteriorates the air quality, but also poses a serious threat to public health, resulting in multiple illnesses. The emission of greenhouse gases, particulate matter and other carcinogenic substances into the air is harmful. It leads to various respiratory diseases and heart problems. Waste burning occurs in both urban and rural areas, adversely affecting the nearby communities. To address the issue of burning waste, the authorities concerned should implement strict management policies, launch public awareness camp-aigns, and adopt eco-friendly measures. These steps are necessary to combat air pollution and to safeguard human health.

JHAL MAGSI RACE: Every year, a jeep rally is organised in Jhal Magsi in which racers from across the country participate with great enthusiasm. Due to its popularity, people from far and wide come to enjoy the race. However, these spectators are not provided a safe place from where they can watch the event. They try to make videos from as close as they can, which is dangerous and can lead to accidents. The organisers should prioritise everyone’s safety, and reserve a secure place for them.
