RAWALPINDI: The joint Task Force of the district administration, local police and Rawalpindi Development Authority (RDA) sealed the unauthorised Heaven Valley in Mouza Sahang on Mandra-Chakwal Road and demolished boundary walls of the housing scheme.
According to a press statement, RDA Director General Kinza Murtaza said under Commissioner Aamir Khattak, crackdown on illegal housing societies will persist vigorously to prevent fraud and protect citizens from exploitation.
Despite warnings to cease illegal advertisements, bookings and development, Ms Murtaza said that the owners of the aforementioned housing scheme continued to operate booking offices in violation of regulations and thus, action had been taken against it.
She highlighted that public complaints regarding illegal land occupation by the housing scheme owners were being taken seriously, and strict measures would be enforced against those engaging in forceful land grabs.
She said the RDA informed the public and advised citizens to avoid investing in illegal housing schemes. Instead, the public is encouraged to visit the RDA website (www.rda.gop.pk) and only engage with approved housing schemes.
The operation team was led by Assistant Commissioner Gujar Khan Hazar Zahoor Goraya and representatives from Mandra police station and the RDA team.
