SARGODHA: Two brothers were killed in a firing incident by suspects armed with modern firearms in area 75 NB in the jurisdiction of Jhal Chakian police station while they were returning home on their motorcycle.

Muhammad Imran, 40, serving in the Park Army, and Muhammad Sajid, 50, retired, succumbed to the firing.

Their bodies were shifted to Sargodha District Teaching Hospital for postmortem. The suspects managed to escape after the attack.

Initial reports suggest the killings were a result of an old enmity.

ATTACK: Armed people attacked their opponents in Thathi Naika village of Shahpur, 30 kilometres from Sargodha, injuring one with gunfire and three others with sticks.

The injured, including Muhammad Kamran from Sharif Colony Shahpur and Omar Hayat, Azhar Abbas and Muhammad Shahzad, were shifted to Shahpur THQ Hospital. Police initiated an investigation, and are collecting evidence.

According to sources, the attack occurred due to old hostilities.

KARATE: The 32nd National Tan Shin Shotokan Karate Championship concluded in Okara.

Male and female players from Punjab White, Punjab Red, Punjab Z teams, and other provinces, including Balochistan, Sindh, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, and Islamabad, participated in the three-day event.

Sindh Karachi secured first place, followed by Balochistan in second and Punjab Z (Zahoor Sargodha) in third.

Special guests MNAs Chaudhry Riazul Haq and Rao Ajmal distributed medals to the winners.
