GWADAR: Three people were shot dead by unknown armed men in Turbat and Panjgur areas on Tuesday.
Police said some armed men on motorcycles targeted two people in the Buleda area of Kech district, killing one person and injuring other.
Soon after the incident, police rushed to the area and shifted the body and injured to a local health facility where the deceased was identified as Hakeem. However, the injured could not be identified so far.
A young boy, Inayatullah, was shot dead by armed men in Satellite Town area of Turbat. He was the nephew of Dr Yasin Dashti, the chairman of the Sociology Department of Turbat University.
In another firing incident, unknown armed men opened fire on a man in Gormakan area of Panjgur town late in the evening. Police said some armed motorcyclists targeted the man while he was passing through the area. He suffered multiple bullet injuries and died on the spot. The victim could not be identified till late in the night.
Meanwhile, of Zareef Omer and Naveed Hameed. They marched on the roads of Turbat and staged a sit-in in front of offices of the Kech deputy commissioner. They chanted slogans and demanded arrest of the killers.
A delegation of the protesters met the deputy commissioner and informed him about their demands, which include registration of an FIR against the killers.
The protest sit-in in Gwadar has been continuing for the last 17 days at the Marian drive area.
