KARACHI: Maulvi Tamizuddin Khan, President of the Pakistan Constituent Assembly, speaking on the life of the Holy Prophet [PBUH] of Islam, said that the most perfect man ever born was Mohammad. His life gives guidance to the wisest as well as the simplest man, he said. He was addressing a public meeting held yesterday [Jan 1] at Aram Bagh to observe the birthday of Prophet Mohammad, and [it] was attended by the Governor-General of Pakistan, Khwaja Nazimuddin.

Maulvi Tamizuddin Khan said that a well planned organisation should be set up with a view to spreading the light of Islam. The basis of the organisation, he suggested, should be the reformation of today’s Islamic society and the enlightening of non-Islamic world.

He deplored the “insidious inferiority complex” which had crept into Muslim society all over the world and was responsible for Muslims looking to “alien ideologies” for guidance. This malady, he said, was due to lack of correct and sufficient knowledge of Islam amongst Muslims themselves. “For those,” he added, “who realise the excellence of the Islamic ideology, there can be no question of alien imitation.”
