LAHORE: Power thieves on Thursday attacked a Lesco team, held its members hostage and thrashed them for disconnecting electricity supply at Khurdpur village in the area of Chhung subdivision.

According to a spokesman, the Lesco field officials found one Nadeem Khokhar stealing electricity through main line directly. On seeing this, the officials disconnected the supply.

However, Khokhar called his brother Waseem and 30 unknown villagers on the spot who held the officials hostage and thrashed them. The accused also snatched mobile phones and cash from the officials.

However, the police when informed, reached the spot, managed to get the officials freed and got a case registered against the suspects.
