ISLAMABAD: All pro­m­inent players including Aqeel Khan, Mohammad Shoaib, Moh­ammad Abid and Muzammil Murtaza comfortably won their men’s singles second-round matches of the 10th Begum Kulsum Saifullah Khan Natio­nal Ranking Tennis Cham­pionships here at the PTF-SDA Ten­nis Complex on Thursday.

Veteran Aqeel, who will be 45 on Jan 30, outclassed Saqib Hayat 6-2, 6-3; Shoaib routed Hamza Asim 6-2, 6-2; Abid outplayed Moha­mmad Salar 6-1, 6-0 while Muza­mmil outclassed Omer Jawad 6-0, 6-1 to make the third round.
