Faisalabad post decent score

LAHORE, April 17: Good contributions from Mohammad Salman, Misbahul Haq and Asad Ali guided Faisalabad to 312 in their first innings against against Karachi Harbour on the opening day of the Pentangular Cup's fourth round match at the Qadhafi Stadium on Monday.

Salman hit 71 with 12 boundaries while skipper Misbah and tailender Asad Ali each scored 53 as Faisalabad recovered from 65 for four to reach a respectable total.

Misbah, who added 72 for the fifth-wicket with Ijaz Ahmed Jr, smashed 10 boundaries and Asad struck eight fours.

Pacemen Faraz Ahmed Khan claimed four for 104

Off-spinner Atif Maqbool mopped up the tail to finish with three for 81.

At stumps, Karachi Harbour were in trouble at 17 for two with both wickets taken by ex-Test paceman Shahid Nazir.
