A HYPOCRITE

A HYPOCRITE: It is hard to believe that the United States is a peace-loving country. Its support for Israel and its brutalities is crystal clear. However, the ballistic missiles of Pakistan seem to pose a serious threat to the world. The US manufactures ballistic missiles itself at an alarming scale, but it feels threatened from the rest of the world. This is utter hypocrisy. It is important for Pakistan to continue strengthening its defence systems regardless of what the world says.

LICENCE OFFICE CHAOS: The Sindh Police have launched a campaign, asking citizens to apply for a learner’s licence or get their expired ones renewed to avoid strict punishments. The relevant office at Clifton area, however, does not have the manpower to handle the rush of incoming applicants. There is total chaos at the office. The computer system crashes after an hour or two of proce-ssing, and the people have to then wait for hours before it gets restored, causing a lot of inconvenience to the applicants.

FALSE NARRATIVES: Misinformation and fabricated stories against Muslims spread rather quickly online, leading to an increase in Islamophobia. These false narratives frequently depict Muslims as a source of danger, which intensifies prejudice and discrimination. Social media algorithms enhance the reach of these damaging messages, allowing them to reach larger audiences and strengthen existing biases. Addressing the issue calls for critical thinking, media literacy and joint efforts to disprove misinformation and foster understanding.

NEGLECTED LIBRARY: The only library found in Dera Allah Yar is on the verge of collapse. It lacks basic amenities, such as electricity and washrooms. The government must provide all basic utilities at the venue to facilitate those who visit the library daily.
