SAHIWAL: Kameer police have booked a woman for allegedly poisoning her husband to death with the help of two sons of a landlord in a bid to conceal her affairs with them.

As per police sources, the suspect, Saima (30) and her husband Ali Hamza (45) worked at the farm of Maqbool Ahmed and lived at his outhouse.

They say that Saima allegedly developed relations with Maqbool’s sons Abid and Sajid.

When Saima’s husband got wind of the affairs, he admonished her and threatened to make it public and humiliate her.

To conceal the affairs, Saima and the two youths hatched a plan to eliminate Hamza.

As per their plan, Saima allegedly poisoned her husband.

As Hamza’s condition deteriorated, he was taken to the emergency ward of Sahiwal Teaching Hospital by Saima and the two youths, but he died at the hospital.

Eyewitness say that as doctors confirmed Hamz’s death, Saima, Abid, and Sajid fled the hospital, leaving the body there, prompting the hospital management to call police.

When Kameer police investigated the matter, they found connivance of Saima and the two youths, resulting in death by poisoning.

Later,on the complaint of Hamza’s father, Ali Sher, the police registered a murder case against Saima, Abid, and Sajid under sections 302 and 34 of the PPC. However, none of the suspects has so far been arrested.

SHOT DEAD: A man was shot dead by unknown assailants at Chak 70/5L on Sunday night.

As per police, the victim, Amir Hamza, was shot dead by unidentified attackers while he was asleep in a pen.

The deceased’s body was taken to Sahiwal Teaching Hospital, but the postmortem examination was delayed for 13 hours due to the unavailability of an “on-duty” doctor.

Annoyed over the delay in procedure, the victim’s family staged a protest at the hospital.

Following the protest, the health CEO sent Dr Usman to conduct the postmortem examination.

WOMAN KILLED: A man allegedly shot his younger sister dead at Chak 14/10-L for beating his children.

As per police, Ansar, a mason, would often quarrel with his sister Nazia over beating his children.

On Monday, Nazia again beat the children, which enraged Ansar, who allegedly shot her dead. The police arrested Ansar and registered a murder case against him.
