ISLAMABAD: Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (BISE) Lahore secured top positions in All Pakistan Inter-Board Girls Sports Gala 2025, which concluded here at Pakistan Sports Complex on Tuesday.

Inter Boards Sports Committee (IBSC) under the Inter Boards Coordination Commission (IBCC) organised this event while Federal Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (FBISE) played the role of host.

According to IBCC, the event, held from Jan 4 to Jan 7, brought together teams from 19 educational boards across Pakistan. It offered a platform for young athletes to showcase their talent and sportsmanship.

The gala featured competitions in badminton, table tennis, hockey, and athletics, showcasing participants’ exceptional skills, and camaraderie.

Lahore Board emerged victorious in table tennis, followed by Abbottabad and FBISE.

In hockey, Lahore Board clinched the top spot, with Mardan and Islamabad Boards achieving second and third places.

The athletics competition saw Lahore Board securing first position, Faisalabad Board claimed second, and Islamabad and Mirpur Boards shared third place.

In badminton, Gujranwala Board secured first place, while Lahore and Islamabad Boards claimed second and third positions, respectively. As a whole, Lahore Board dominated the event, winning the title of overall champion and securing the prestigious Best Athlete award.

During the closing ceremony, Executive Director of IBCC Dr. Ghulam Ali Mallah commended the teams and praised the winners for their outstanding achievements.

He emphasized that the gala was a reflection of the unity, dedication, and talent of young athletes across Pakistan.

Chairman FBISE, Dr. Ikram Ali Malik thanked the boards for making the event lively and inspiring. He highlighted the importance of such events in promoting the culture of teamwork, resilience, and excellence among students.
