RAWALPINDI: The Rawalpindi police have been instructed to strengthen security of police stations and posts in the wake of the armed attack on a police station in the Faisalabad district, which resulted into the deaths of three brothers in the police lockup.

A directive issued by the SSP Operation Hafiz Kamran Asghar to all SDPOs and SPs that following the current security situation, to make foolproof security arrangements of police establishments – especially around police stations and police posts.

The police have been directed to strictly implement the Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) of security, especially for lock-ups of police stations and post.

SSP Asghar further directed to deploy armed police personnel at the rooftops and main gates of the police stations and posts.
