Pakistan lose to England

COLOMBO: England’s physically disabled cri­cket team defeated Pakis­t­an by 62 runs in the Physical Disability Cham­pions Tro­phy at the BOI Stadium in Colombo on Wednesday.

England PD captain Cal­l­um Flynn elected to bat, scoring 144 runs in 20 overs. Hugo Ham­mond top-scored with 43.

Hammond innings was studded with four boundaries and two maximums.

Other prominent batters from England were Liam Obrien (25) and skipper Flynn (21).

For the national side, cap­tain Abdullah Ijaz, Waqif Shah and Abdul Basit took two wickets each.

In response, Pakistan lost wickets regularly. Ghulam Muhammad and Waqif scored 17 runs each.

Man-of-the-match Jordan Williams took 3-10 to help bowl Pakistan out for 82.
