PESHAWAR: Javed Zafar Jhagra, the younger brother of former Khyber Pakhtunkhwa governor and former senator Iqbal Zafar Jhagra, passed away here the other day.

His funeral was held on Saturday in his ancestral village Jhagra, Peshawar, and was laid to rest at his family graveyard. People in a large number including politicians and government officials turned up in his funeral. They prayed to Almighty Allah for the departed soul.

The deceased was also brother of former chief of planning and development department Waqar Zafar Jhagra, father of Behram Zafar Jhagra, and uncle of medical director of Hayatabad Medical Complex Dr Shehzad Akbar Khan, Farhan Zafar Jhagra, Dr Umer Zafar Jhagra, Usman Jhagra, Irfan Jhagra, Owais Khan and Zubair Khan of Samarbagh.

Meanwhile, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Governor Faisal Karim Kundi has expressed sorrow and grief over the death of Javed Zafar Jhgara.

In his condolence message, the governor extended heartfelt sympathy and condolences to the family of the deceased, saying that Javed Zafar Jhgara’s death was an irreplaceable loss to the family. He described the deceased as a person of great dignity, who upheld noble family traditions.

The governor prayed that may Allah grant the deceased a high place in Jannah and provide his family with the strength and patience to bear this loss.
