KARACHI: Raaz-i-Sukhan, a book by Allama Iqbal’s eldest grandson, Azad Iqbal, was launched at Arts Council.
Speaking at the book launch, organised by the Jehan-i-Masiha Literary Forum under its Payam-i-Iqbal, Bazaban-i-Iqbal theme, Syed Jamshed Ahmed appreciated that the traces of Iqbal’s poetry evident in the intellectual works of Azad Iqbal.
He said that Allama Iqbal not only envisioned the creation of Pakistan but also, through his poetry, instilled a renewed spirit among the youth, dispelling despair and encouraging optimism.
He emphasised that, in today’s times, Iqbal’s thoughts and poetry can help alleviate the sense of hopelessness that has overtaken society, and this task can be carried forward by Iqbal’s family. At the ceremony, Azad Iqbal also recited his grandfather’s poetry, which was warmly appreciated by the audience.
