COLOMBO: The Pakistan physically disabled cricket team secured their third win in the PD Champions Trophy, defeating England PD by 10 runs in the rain-affected, five-over match at the BOI Cricket Ground on Sunday.

Pakistan PD posted 72-1, with Ghulam Moha­mmad top-scoring with 28 off 12, including two fours and three sixes. Saifullah Achakzai made an unbeaten 26 off 11, while Mohammad Arsalan added 13 off eight. Ben Sutton took the only wicket for England.

In response, England PD managed 62-3. Liam O’Brien scored 29 off 13, and Brendon Parr was not out on 20 off 11.

Pakistan’s Abdullah Ijaz, Waqif Shah, and Mohammad Noman took the wickets.

Pakistan PD finished third in the group with six points after winning three and losing as many matches. Despite India’s loss to England, Pakistan did not qualify for the final. India topped the group with 10 points, while England advanced with eight points.
