DERA ISMAIL KHAN: Three people, including two minor girls, were injured in a gas cylinder explosion inside a shop in Haji Mora area here, the police said on Monday.

An official said that three persons, including the shopkeeper and two minor girls, sustained severe burn injuries.

He said that as soon as the incident was reported, the police and teams of Rescue 1122 reached the spot and rushed the injured to the District Headquarters Teaching Hospital, Dera Ismail Khan, where the condition of the shopkeeper is said to be critical.

According to the police, the reason for the cylinder explosion is not known. However, they said that an investigation had begun into the explosion.
