LARKANA: The Larkana district and sessions judge, who held charge of antiterrorism court, ordered on Wednesday to drop Section 6/7 ATA from the FIR registered at Dari police station against former GDA MPA Moazzim Abbasi, his son Waleed Khan Abbasi and friend Asad Tunio.

The judge Simkan Hussain Mughal later transferred the case for further proceedings to the Model Criminal Trial Court, where the Abbasis and Mr Tunio appeared along with their counsels. Minus the ATA section, the FIR (No.03/2025) still contained sections 109, 120 b, 148, 149, 337 H2 and 7/6 lodged on a complaint of Syed Zulfikar Ali Shah, caretaker of Siyal House.

Abbasis’ counsels Advocate Javed Buledi and others filed a bail application for the ex-GDA MPA, his son and Asad Tunio in the model court and the judge granted them interim bail in the sum of Rs50,000 each.

The case would now be heard on Jan 28 for the confirmation of bail, said sources close to ex-MPA. A separate bail application was field for Abdul Ahad Magsi, who was currently in jail, but it would also be heard on Jan 28.

The case against Moazzim Ali Abbasi and Siyals pertained to an incident of firing outside the Siyal House, which had since been amicably settled by PPP MPA Nawab Sardar Khan Chandio, chieftain of Chandio clan, in Qambar on Jan 18.

But the dispute came to an end after Abbasi and Anwar Siyal hugged each other and vowed to shun the differences.
