Muggers kill biker
Unknown muggers shot dead a 20-year-old youth to snatch away his motorcycle while he was on his way to Qambar town on Wednesday.
The victim was identified as Zeeshan Jattak.
A large number of locals, led by his father, Abdul Rasheed Jhattak, took to the street and blocked the nearby section of Larkana-Qambar road over inaction on the part of the police personnel present near the crime scene.
The grieved father and onlookers lamented that Zeeshan kept raising a hue and cry to attract the policemen’s attention while the muggers had been holding him at gunpoint, but the policemen did not move even until the criminals killed him and sped away easily.
The protesters, carrying the body, held a sit-in in the middle of the road causing suspension of the vehicular traffic for a few hours.
Later, Qambar-Shahdadkot SSP Sajid Amir Sadozai along with his subordinates held negotiations with the protesters and persuaded them to end the sit-in.
The SSP suspended City SHO Zakir Sandano and patrolling in-charge Nizakat Qadri for their alleged negligence.
A hunt for the killers was also started.
