ISLAMABAD: The Islamabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ICCI) and Riphah International University (RIU) have announced that they will organise a conference aimed at strengthening linkage between industry and academia.
The conference will involve collaboration with other universities, focusing on finding practical solutions to align academic research with the needs of the industry, particularly in developing market-driven and export-oriented products.
The decision to organise the conference was made at a meeting between RIU Chancellor Hassan Mohammad Khan and ICCI President Nasir Mansoor Qureshi at the Chamber House.
The event seeks to address key challenges faced by the business community and to create a platform for youth involvement in economic and business activities.
Mr Khan said the university was committed to conducting high-quality research in close collaboration with the business community, especially the ICCI, to meet industry needs and have a positive social and economic impact on Pakistan.
He said with 60pc of Pakistan’s population being youth, there was immense potential to drive the country’s economic advancement by integrating them into business activities.
Mr Qureshi said that the chamber wanted to foster strong industry-university relationships.
