LAHORE: National Accountability Bureau (NAB) Chairman retired Lt Gen Nazir Ahmed visited NAB Multan to chair a meeting with the representatives of the Board of Revenue, South Punjab Revenue Department, Cholistan Development Authority and the Forest Department.
He stressed the need for greater mutual cooperation between these departments in the fight against land grabbing.
He urged the government agencies to identify the state land for better protection while giving clear directives for recovering land from illegal occupants and land grabbers.
He underlined that safeguarding public property was of utmost importance and must be addressed with urgency.
“I urge all departments to work together to recover the state land and ensure its rightful use,” the NAB chairman remarked. He also assured the officials of NAB’s full support in tackling corruption and mismanagement, highlighting the bureau’s commitment to enhancing the functioning of the government institutions.
Additionally, the former general praised the efforts of NAB Multan Region, commending its dedication in the fight against corruption. He assigned new targets for NAB Multan Director General Masood Alam to intensify operations and improve accountability in the region.
