KARACHI: A minor girl was killed when some guests of a wedding fired into the air in celebration on Abul Hasan Ispahani Road on Sunday evening, police said.

Sachal SHO Aurangzeb Khattab identified the victim as seven-year-old Azeela Ali.

He said that as a result of celebratory gunfire near the Fancy View Apartments, a bullet hit the girl in the chest. She was taken to the Abbasi Shaheed Hospital, where she died during treatment.

The officer said the police rushed to the spot and arrested two suspects, Janzada Hashim and Jamal Shah.
