DADU: A labourer, Barkat Ali Khoso, was shot dead near Shahen Jo Dero locality of Mehar town on Tuesday.
Locals and the A-Section police of Mehar said that Khoso, a resident of Virand village, was carrying a fertiliser bag to his fields on his bicycle when he was attacked by the assailant, who later fled the locality.
His body was transported to the Mehar Taluka Hospital, where the bereaved family attributed the attack to their tribe’s old land dispute with the Magsi tribe that had already claimed three lives. The Khosos lost their third member and Magsis one, they added.
