SUKKUR, April 21: A dust storm followed by heavy rain hit Sukkur, Shikarpur, Jacobabad, Kashmore, Guddu, Kandhkot and Thull on Thursday evening. The storm started at about 7:15pm and uprooted a number of trees, hoarding and sign boards.

Rain water accumulated on main roads and streets, paralysing the normal life in the cities.

In the meantime, power supply was cut off in many areas, which was not restored till late in the evening.

The weather, however, turned pleasant and people suffering from intense heat over the passed few days, heaved a sigh of relief .
