MUZAFFARGARH: A naib tehsildar was arrested by the anti-corruption team during a raid, catching him red-handed while taking a bribe.

Naib Tehsildar Mian Muhammad Asghar was arrested by Anti-Corruption Circle Officer Muzaffargarh Muhammad Ramzan along with ASI Sheikh Adnan Asif in a raid and they found marked currency notes on him.

Ijaz Hussain, the son of Ghulam Ali, resident of Borana, Sultan Mahmood, had complained against Asghar for demanding Rs14,000 from him for correcting the inheritance transfer deed.

The anti-corruption establishment conducted a raid after getting permission from the district and sessions judge and registered a case against Asghar.

According to sources, Asghar has only a few months left in his retirement.
