PESHAWAR: Gajju Khan Medical College, Swabi, has set up a state-of-the-art online examination centre for Khyber Medical University’s (KMU) MBBS professional exams, aligning with modern educational standards.
The facility was formally inaugurated by KMU Vice-chancellor Prof Ziaul Haq on Wednesday, a statement said.
In line with KMU’s directive to conduct MBBS exam online, GKMC has established this center, which is fully equipped with modern facilities and can accommodate more than 80 students.
The inauguration ceremony was attended by KMU controller of examinations, GKMC Dean Prof Shamsur Rehman and senior faculty members.
Speaking on the occasion, Prof Ziaul Haq said that the online examination system would enhance efficiency, save time and promotes a paperless environment. He commended GKMC’s achievements and congratulated the college administration, faculty and examination centre team for their efforts in implementing the modern system.
He said that the examination centre would serve as a regional hub for KMU in Swabi, facilitating online exam for other affiliated colleges as well.
Speaking on the occasion, Prof Shamsur Rehman said that adapting to modern examination systems was essential and GKMC took a major step forward. He added that the new facility was equipped with 80-plus computer systems, high-speed internet, a digital library and advanced research tools, providing students with a high-quality academic environment.
It is worth mentioning that a mock examination was conducted from 10am 12noon to test the functionality of the new online examination centre.
