RAWALPINDI: Two people were killed in a road accident in Kahuta area on Thursday, police said.

Shahzada Mohammad Sohail, a resident of Fazal Town, Chaklala, said in the FIR that he, his friend Ziaur Rehman, and his son Mohammad Zeeshan Sohail were on way to Kashmir in their car, when they reached near Holar Bridge, they found the road blocked and the traffic was stuck.

He said on seeing the road blocked, they got out of the car and were waiting along the road side.

He said that as they were standing, all of a sudden, a trailer appeared and crashed into some cars parked on the road and also hit his son Mohammad Zeshan Sohail, resulting in his death on the spot.

He further said that, besides his son, another person, Imran Malik, was also killed after being hit by the trailer. Police have registered a case and impounded the vehicle.

Meanwhile, the police have solved the murder of a man whose body was found in the trunk of his abandoned car in the R.A. Bazar area about two weeks ago, and arrested three of his friends.

Abdul Wahab, 43, a resident of PECHS Islamabad, left his house on January 13 but did not return. Three days later, his tortured body was found in the trunk of his abandoned car in the R.A. Bazar area. The victim’s body was spotted by a passer-by who informed the local police.
