Women basketball trials today

KARACHI, April 21: Trials to select probables for the selection of Sindh women basketball team will commence at National Sports Training and Coaching Centre (NSTCC) Saturday at 1.00pm.

Similar trials will be organized at Hyderabad Club, Hyderabad, on April 24 to pick probables from interior of Sindh.

Hosts Sindh would field two outfits in the coming National Women Basketball Championship being held at Women Sports Complex in the city from May 2 to 7.

Though invitations had been extended to Army, PAF, Navy, Wapda, Police, Railways, Sindh, Punjab, Balochistan, NWFP, Islamabad and Fata a number of women teams in the departments now ceased to exist.

A three-member selection committee comprising Abdul Nasir, Raza Agha and Ms Saima Butt will conduct trials in Karachi while Syed Ziauddin, Asim Hussain and Ms Yasmeen Iqbal will supervise the process at Hyderabad.
