GWADAR: Experts at a three-day seminar highlighted impacts of climate change and discussed several practical steps to address the challenges.

The seminar on climate change, organised by the Gwadar Development Authority, concluded on Sunday.

The experts said that immediate actions were needed for survival of Gwadar in future and stakeholders were urged to play a collective role to face the challenge.

The participants of the seminar were taken on a field trip to observe affected areas of the city, wetlands, and drainage issues, giving them an opportunity to directly understand the challenges posed by climate change in Gwadar.

At the end of the seminar, certificates were distributed among participants.

The GDA reaffirmed its commitment to continue research and take practical measures to face the climate change challenge.
