RAWALPINDI: A scavenger found a sack stuffed with the body of a teenage boy from a garbage dump in Dhoke Kala Khan area of Sadiqabad on Friday.

After being informed, police reached the spot and shifted the body to hospital where the victim was identified as Mohammad Talal, 17, who had gone missing on Thursday night.

Since the boy left his house and did not turn, a case was registered with the police and a search launched. The father of the boy had suspected that a person could be involved in the kidnapping of his son.

Police believed that the motive behind the murder could be an old enmity.

Meanwhile, police continued crackdown on kite flyers, sellers and those involved in aerial firing and arrested 41 people on Friday.

A spokesman for the police said that following directives of City Police Officer Syed Khalid Hamdani, the crackdown had been launched against kite flyers and those involved in aerial firing and rounded up 41people besides recovering thousands of kites and strings.

He said three people involved in aerial firing were also arrested. Moreover, police patrolling has been increased in Race Course, R.A. Bazaar, Naseerabad, Dhamial and Waris Khan police areas to check kite flying and aerial firing, he added.
