QUETTA: Senate Deputy Chairman Syedaal Khan Nasar has emphasised that the development and prosperity of Balochistan were top priorities of the federal government.

Mr Nasar of PML-N made these remarks in a meeting with Balochistan Chief Minister Sarfraz Bugti in Quetta.

The CM briefed Mr Nasar on the ongoing development projects in the province and reforms in the educational and health sectors.

Mr Nasar stressed the importance of education, skill development and employment opportunities for the youth of Balochistan, describing them as “urgent needs”. He assured that the Centre would fully cooperate with the provincial government in resolving Balochistan’s issues and ensure the timely completion of development projects.

They also discussed the importance of Gwadar Port for Balochistan and its role in regional development.

He noted that the full operationalisation of the port would create jobs for locals.
