LAHORE: Punjab Information Minister Azma Bokhari has said the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Sindh governments are following the progressive policies introduced by Punjab.
“The relief reaching people beyond Punjab is a testament to the effectiveness of Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz in governance. Instead of targeting Maryam Nawaz with criticism, opponents should direct their efforts toward addressing the issues faced by their own provinces,” Bokhari said here on Saturday.
She highlighted that Punjab was witnessing an unprecedented transformation in the fields of agriculture, industry, and infrastructure. The Punjab government was working diligently to establish the province as the country’s true food basket by strengthening the agricultural sector.
The minister said for the first time in Punjab’s history, a historic Rs400bn “Kisan Card Programme” had been launched to support farmers. The initiative included the distribution of green tractors, super seeders, and agricultural machinery on a rental basis, ensuring better access to modern farming tools, she added.
She said under the “Ramazan Nigehban Programme”, essential food supplies would be delivered directly to the homes of deserving families, ensuring dignified support during the holy month.
