GWADAR: Unknown armed men attacked and set fire to construction machinery at the construction site of the Turbat-Mand road site on Tuesday.

According to officials, a group of armed men riding motorcycles cordoned off the Frontier Works Organisation camp in the Nasirabad area of Turbat in Kech district.

The attackers targeted the machinery used for constructing the Turbat-Mand road, ransacked the camp and set fire to the equipment, including road rollers and then fled the scene.

“The machinery was badly gutted,” the officials said. However, no casualties were reported in the attack.
