Musab was only two years old when his mother started involving him in his older siblings’ school activities. She would give him a pencil and paper, and he would scribble lines and patterns, occasionally using his sister’s colours to create vibrant designs.

As Musab grew older and began attending school, his interest in drawing intensified. He would copy images from his textbooks and create detailed illustrations on his rough notebook. With time, his drawings became more refined and he would proudly display them on the wall behind his study table.

One day, while reading a children’s magazine, Musab stumbled upon an advertisement for a painting competition. He thought to himself, “Why not? Everyone praises my drawings, so maybe I can win this competition too!”

Musab approached his mother with the idea, and she encouraged him to participate. “Remember, Musab, it’s not necessary to win the first prize. You might not win at all, but that’s okay. You’re participating to learn and have fun. Leave the rest to God,” she explained.

Musab understood his mother’s words and worked diligently on his painting. He submitted his entry and waited anxiously for the results.

The next month, the magazine arrived, and Musab eagerly flipped through the pages to find the competition results. His heart sank when he didn’t see his name among the top three winners. However, as he continued reading, his face lit up with joy.

Musab had won a special prize for his unique and creative artwork. He rushed to show his mother the magazine, beaming with pride. The news spread quickly, and Musab received congratulations from his schoolmates and teachers.

A few days later, Musab received his prize — a set of vibrant, colourful paints that brought a smile to his face. He continued to hone his artistic skills, inspired by his achievement and the encouragement of those around him.
