ISLAMABAD: A security guard was murdered during burglary, police said on Friday.

The security guard, identified as Ahmed Ali, was found murdered at Shah Plaza, located on G.T Road in the area of Humak police station. The police have registered a case under sections 302, 457 and 380 against unidentified criminals.

The police said it seemed the burglars shot dead the security guard when he attempted to resist them.

Whebn shopkeepers came on Friday morning they found the security guard dead in front of a shop and locks of three shops broken and some valuable items stolen.

After getting the information the police reached the spot and found the CCTV cameras installed at the plaza stolen.

So far the details and the worth of the stolen items were yet to be shared with the police.
